Appointment at Solarcentury in London,  Arrival in London  for 2 short days in the British capital. On the program an appointment with Solarcentury, specialised in the solar energy integrated to the building. This company is managed by Jeremy Leggett whose career is impressive and whose company is in full worldwide opening.

Jeremy Leggett, author of several books, among which one is exciting (Half Gone) is first of all expert of oil exploration, then Greenpeace militant of which he will be the spokesman during the Kyoto Conference.

He created in 1997 the Solarcentury association.

Having for only objective the solar energy promotion, the association  has been transformed into a business company in 1999.

Mr Leggett is also president of Solar id, charity providing solar energy to the poorest countries. 5% of the Solarcentury profits are used for its financing.

Beyond the company management, Jeremy, well known in Europe and in the US, multiplies the conferences. A trueLobbyist. He just received  from Al Gore, the Ashden famous price  for the Solarcentury innovations.

Today 100 people  and different businesses :
  • Research of new Photovoltaïc solutions intégrated to the building.
  • Integration of solar energy in any type of building.
IThey are present from the building permit  to the installation. They developped solar tiles for the United Kingdom and will soon sell in France the solar slate. It is more aesthetic and still effective.. To be followed ! 30%  of growth last year, an international development with France, Spain and Italy. IThey really believe in the French market because of the important government aid which is included in the photovoltaïc electricity repurchase (56cts/Kw) and  with 20 years of guarantee…For a traditional  house, return on investments in 10/12 years for 25 years guarantee panels .Let us notice the presence of SolaireDirect  in France which suggest to  set up free solar panels on your roof. The company finances itself in the electricty resale during the first years, the  panels belong to you then… This  type of company should interest the supermarket owners !!!
